Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Review

Samsung launched the Premium Note series smartphone Named Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was released in India on 25 August 2020. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is priced at 1,04,999 @ 12GB + 256GB Variant in India. 

Samsung released other model namely Note 20 Along with Note 20 Ultra. when I’m using Note 20 ultra I felt its Very Large and had all cameras features that S20 Ultra has & large AMOLED screen. but is also has the DNA of Younger brothers.

it features the most powerful chip from Samsung named Exynos 990 which is made of 7nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFet process. this processor is divided into 3 parts; the first part features 4 x A55 low power cores which are clocked at 2.0GHz, second part features 2 x A75 high powered cores which are clocked at 2.73 and the third part is divided into 2 x A55 High powered cores which are clocked at 2.50 cores. it has a GPU which increases its work by 30% compared to 9820 the last flagship processor from Samsung. it has an NPU (neural processing unit) which helps in AI Capabilities.

this phone has WiFi 6 which increases the stability of connection from the router. it has a remarkable feature named Wireless Powershare to reverse charge the Qi powered devices.

here in Display Department Note 20 Ultra Features an Excellent Quad HD Infinity O Dynamic AMOLED panel screen with 511 pixels per inch, the colours are rich and awesome, viewing angles are perfect. there are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight. it is HDR 10+ Certified So you can Play HDR content on the phone without any issues. The 120Hz Refresh rate in Full HD+ Resolution is super Smooth. the Camera hole is placed In Center and it will not interfere while watching content.

Stereo Speakers and Headphone Jack:

 in Note 20 Ultra Samsung Used their AKG tuned Stereo Speakers which were is very loud when compared to last year’s Note 10 Plus. these speakers are supported by Dolby Atmos Surround Sound technology (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) and tuned by AKG which help to get clear sound output from the mobile speaker. here earpiece Also Acts as Speaker which gives a little sound to feel the stereo effect is working

Coming to Headphone jack and earphones, the no headphone jack was equipped We have to listen through USB-C Port but the Quality is Good.

 Note 20 Ultra is also Build with a stainless steel frame on side and front and back of the device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus a new Glass From Corning. Because of Glass on the back, it is slippery to hold. No issues of creakiness with the build quality. well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.9″ AMOLED screen.

In-Display fingerprint scanner: 

Note 20 Ultra Features an In-Display mounted fingerprint sensor which is included into the screen. By looks, it is Small to see but, fast and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. This placement of this sensor is on the Bottom Center of the phone. Here Samsung included the fingerprint gestures which we saw in the Last year Flagship phones named Galaxy Note 10 Series

Face unlocking:

 Note 20 Ultra Uses the face unlock with its 10MP RGB Camera. the face unlocking is Quite fast and Secure. it works in the p[itch dark conditions with medium Amount of light from the AMOLED Panel. the Animations Around the Camera are Interesting to see.

Weight balance: 

Note 20 Ultra feels so small and light with 6.9” Screen and 4500mAh battery equipped. This Note 20 Ultra can be used by one hand. The weight balance is done very well on the device.

Battery life:

 My Galaxy Note 20 Ultra lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I had 22% of charge left in the phone which is good for a 4500 mAH Battery The ideal drain of Note 20 Ultra is very low as Note 20. the 25w Super fast charging makes a difference and charges the phone in 90min which is good.

  One UI 2 Present on the Note 20 Ultra is very fast & so fluid, No lags were noticed. it comes with less bloatware majorly Samsung And Microsoft apps were included. There are some extra features like Dual Apps, Direct video calling feature, Always on Display make this UI special.

My Galaxy Note 20 Ultra managed to do day to day tasks very well like the Younger brother Note 20. there are no issues and problems with the UI and there are no heating issues with Note 20 Ultra.

Storage:

Note 20 Ultra arrives in Market with 256GB in Built Storage. Out of 256 GB, We get 246 GB Storage with Google Account Included.

Ram Management : 

Ram Management is done very well on this Galaxy Note 20 Ultra device. it features 12 GB ram and I did not notice any lags with the device and there are no reloading of apps on this Note 20 Ultra. Multitasking experience is nice on Note 20 Ultra.

Coming to Gaming, we played Asphalt 9 & PUBG at highest graphics setting without any lags & frame drops in the game. thanks to the processor for giving us a lag-free gaming experience & liquid cooling pipe for dissipating heat from the processor. after a week of usage, you won’t notice that

Call Quality :

 the Call quality on Note 20 Ultra is very good and there are no issues with cellular call quality. we have taken long calls in a day and the other party doesn’t complain. the earpiece is included in the top bezel & its very loud.

Camera:

Coming to the Camera Department, Note 20 Ultra features a Triple Camera setup on the back of the device and a single camera on the front of the device. they work perfectly in S20. let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

1. Main Camera: the 108MP main Camera is Awesome and features a Dual Aperture and can vary from F/1.8. the Low light & daylight pictures are very good and contain very good details like a natural photo. Night mode takes a long exposure shot and gives more details in the night like S20 Ultra. the steady shot also works well to take steady pictures. Exposure is in control with decent Dynamic range.

2. Ultra Wide Angle Camera: the 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens on Note 20 Ultra does a good job. it captures a much wider picture in 123˚ field of view with good details. exposure is control with decent dynamic range.

12MP Periscope Telephoto camera

the 12MP Telephoto Does a Good job in capturing the zoom Images. We can zoom up to 10x In Optical Mode and up to 100x Hybrid Zoom. The quality, Details, Exposure levels make sense and capture good Raw images.

Video recording can be done up to 4k UHD (3840×2160) .the video footage has awesome Colours with great sharpness and decent dynamic range. Stabilization is awesome in 4kUHD And 1080p FHD recording. it is the world’s first mobile camera to Capture HDR 10 video.

Coming to the Super Slow-Mo Note 20 Ultra can record 720P Quality video at 960 frames per second which is good to see.

Selfie camera :

 Note 20 Ultra features a 10MP selfie camera with 80˚ field of view. it has a fixed aperture of F/2.2. the Picture quality is fantastic and captures pictures in a Wide view. AI beautification mode is available. Photos are well detailed and contain a decent dynamic range. 

This single-camera can be used to take portraits images from the front with the Help of Artificial Intelligence.

S-Pen

Here the Biggest Change in S-Pen is the Latency is down to 9ms From 42ms. There are 5 Air Actions to Control the Smartphone with S-Pen. There are No Specaial Features, but it is a Lot Improved. This  S-Pen, we can take Selfie, Play & PAUSE Music all features of S-Pen are present. A Small Battery Is Present In this S-pen. In terms of S-Pen Is good.

Cons

  • The fingerprint sensor is a bit Slow
  • Samsung Must Have Provided 120Hz Refresh Rate in Quad HD resolution. But it is limited to 1080p
  • The Camera Bump is awkward And Annoying
  • Just 25W Charging Speed, Now a Days the Budget Smartphones are Also Providing 33W Fast Charging.
  • Samsung Should Launch Smartphones On one SoC Either Exynos or Qualcomm.

Who can Get Note 20 Ultra: if you want a bigger screen with an Good Triple camera on the rear, 25W Fast charging, then you can go to Note 20 Ultra. if you want Note 20 Ultra DNA with a Medium screen in Full HD resolution, Triple Cameras then you can go with Note 20
