Samsung Galaxy M51 Review

Samsung launched Budget M series smartphone Named Galaxy M51. Samsung Galaxy M51 is priced at 24,999 @ 6GB + 128GB Variant & 26,999 for 8GB + 128GB Varinat In India.

Galaxy M51 features the Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm named SD 730G. this chip is made of 10nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFet process. this processor is divided into 2 parts; the first part features 2 x A76 High power cores which are clocked at 2.22GHz, The second part features 6x A55 high powered cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz. it has Adreno 618 GPU which increases its work by 27% compared to SD 712 the last Flagship processor from Qualcomm. it has an X15 LTE Modem which has Download and Uploads speeds of 800 & 150MBPS. Coming to the AI Department it does not have Ai built in the processor, it has AI Optimizations which helps in AI Capabilities.

I will divide the review into pros & cons. let’s see quick specs of

Galaxy M51 Features a Good Quality 6.7″ Super AMOLED display with FHD+ Resolution. Viewing angles are good very, very bright in sunlight and Smooth. no flaws with the display. the colors are very punchy to Look.

Stereo Speakers and Headphone Jack:

 in Galaxy M51 Samsung Used their Singke Speaker System which were is very loud when compared to Galaxy A71. these speakers are supported by Dolby Atmos Surround Sound technology (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) which help to get clear sound output from the mobile speaker.

Coming to Headphone jack and earphones, there is a headphone jack was equipped. The Sound Quality through 3.5mm Jack is Good but there are No Headphones Included In the Box Package.

Build Quality : 

 Galaxy M51 is also Build with a Polycarbonate frame on side and rear front of the device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There are No issues of creakiness with the build quality. Galaxy M51 is well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.7″ AMOLED screen.


The Snapdragon 730G processor is good for daily usage, it is fast and fluid. this can handle Pubg or Asphalt 9 on High Graphics settings with a minimum frame drops and Gameplay seems to good On the Device. no heating issues with Galaxy M51.

Screen Casting:

It supports for screencasting on Galaxy M51.

Dual Volte:

Dual voltage functionality is there on Galaxy M51.


All sensors are present and work very well too on Galaxy M51.

One Ui 2 Based On Android 10:

It runs One UI 2 based on Android 10, feels snappy with extra customizable options with Productive Microsoft Apps.

OTG Functionality:

Otg functionality is there, but hard-disk also works.

Screen gestures:

Full-screen gestures are also present on Galaxy M51.

Ram Management:

Ram management, its very good, no reloading of apps. Multitasking is very good.

Celluar Call Quality:

Cellular call quality is good, I did not have any problems with it.


Galaxy M51 has support for dual-band Wi-Fi both 2.4GHz & 5Ghz band.

Battery Life:

In terms of Battery Life Galaxy M51 Makes an Record Which Lasts 1.5 Day with Heavy Usage, I’m getting 9 hours of sot with this 7000 mAh Battery. it takes nearly 2 Hours 10 Min to fully charge the battery.

Side Mounted Fingerprint Sensor:

The Side Mounted fingerprint sensor is Moderate and very accurate. it does not fail, most of the time it worked.

Face Unlock

Face unlock on Galaxy M51 also works fine. it does not unlock with closed eyes also.

Rear Cameras

  • Rear Triple Camera, it can work like 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP Cameras.

64MP Main Camera

the 64MP main Camera With PDAF is Awesome and features a Fixed Aperture of F/1.8. The daylight pictures are Good and contain good details. Exposure is in control with an good Dynamic range to take good pictures in Daylight or Good lighting conditions. In low light conditions, the images are average. With Night Mode it just Improves a Bit.

12MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera:

the 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens on M51 does an Awesome job in good lighting conditions and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.2. it captures a much wider picture in a 108˚ field of view with Good details. exposure also control with a good dynamic range. In low lighting conditions, the pictures from the 8MP camera have a bit of noise in pictures.

5MP Depth Camera:

Galaxy M51 has A 5MP Depth Camera of F/2.4 Which Allows You to Capture Good Portrait Shots.

5MP Macro camera:

The 5MP Macro Camera Works and the Quality in daylight conditions is good, in night conditions image quality is horrible.

Front Camera

On front there is a 32MP Front camera, its good & picture quality is fine. HDR is good too. it can shoot the video at 4K @ 30fps

Photos are good and well detailed. At night conditions the photos look good with good details. video quality is good in daylight and a bit average night time. it can record up to 4K,1080P &720 @ 30FPS. Here there is stabilization in 1080p.
