Samsung Galaxy A51 5G Review

Samsung launched Budget A series 5G smartphone Named Galaxy A51 5G. Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is priced at $400 @ 128 GB Variant In US.

Galaxy A51 5G features the Exynos chip from Samsung named Exynos 980. this chip is made of 8nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFet process. this processor is divided into 2 parts; the first part features 2 x A77 High power cores which are clocked at 2.2GHz, The second part features 6 x A55 high powered cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz. it has Mali-G76 MP5 GPU.

I will divide the review into pros & cons. let’s see quick specs of  
Samsung Galaxy A51 and Jump into the review.

Review:

6.5″ Super AMOLED Display:

Here in Display Department, A51 5G Features an Excellent Full HD AMOLED panel with Punch hole Edge screen. the colors are vibrant and enjoyable, viewing angles are also Excellent. There are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight. there is also Support to View HDR 10+.

Stereo Speaker and Headphone Jack:

In A51 5G, Samsung Used the traditional Single Speaker System and it is Much louder. This Single Speaker is Quite Loud and can’t Wrap up with the Stereo Speakers. these speaker output is clear and sound the Sound does not Distort at higher Volume.

Coming to 3.5mm jack and earphones, the 3.5mm Jack provided with an Optimized and Good sound. the headphones are not present in the Box Due to Competitive pricing. but with some good pair headphones for listening to music and for taking voice calls clearly.

Build Quality : 

Samsung A51 5G is Build with a Plastic Frame on the side & Front of the Device Is Protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. it Does not provides a good look and feels Because it is made with 6000 Series Aluminium and Glass. There are no issues of creakiness with the build quality. Samsung Galaxy A51 5G well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.5″ Amoled screen. The A51 5G Very thin and it is About 8.7 mm.

In-Display Fingerprint scanner: 

A51 5G Features an In-Display mounted fingerprint sensor which is present on the Bottom Front of the phone. By performance, it is a Bit Slow and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. 

Face unlocking:

A51 5G has a face unlock feature. It works Nice in Normal Conditions Very Quickly and And Securely but in Night Conditions it will work 40% Screen brightness to recognize the user. 

Processor:

The processor is good for daily usage, it is fast and fluid. This Processor is Compared to SD 675. this can handle Pubg or Asphalt 9 on medium settings with a minimum frame drops. but the Gameplay seems to be not good. no heating issues

One Ui 2 Based On Android 10:

It runs One UI 2 based on Android 10, feels snappy with extra customizable options

Ram Management:

Ram management, its very good, no reloading of apps. Multitasking is very good.

Celluar Call Quality:

Cellular call quality is good, I did not have any problems with it.

Wifi:

it has support for dual-band Wi-Fi both 2.4GHz & 5Ghz band.

Battery:

My Galaxy A51 5G lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I had 18% of charge left in the phone which is good for a 4500 mAH Battery. We got 5.7 to 6.0 Hours of Sot( Screen on time) on using Mobile data which is good. you will get above 6.3 hr Battery life if you use Continuously on WiFi. The ideal drain of Galaxy A51 is very low. The 33W charging makes a difference and charges the phone in 95 min which is a bit good.

Rear Cameras

Coming to the Camera Department, A51 5G features a Quad Camera setup on the back of the device and a Single Punch hole camera on the front of the device. They work perfectly in A51 5G. let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

48MP Primary Camera:

the 48MP main Camera With PDAF is Awesome and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.0. The daylight pictures are Good and contain good details. Exposure is in control & the Dynamic range is good to take good pictures in Daylight or Good lighting conditions. In low light conditions, the images are good to with Night Mode.

12MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera:

the 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens on A51 5G does an Awesome job in good lighting conditions and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.2. it captures a much wider picture in a 108˚ field of view with Good details Which is Slightly Lower than the Main Camera. exposure also control with a good dynamic range. In low lighting conditions, the pictures from the 12MP camera are good with Night Mode.

3. Depth Camera: A51 5G has A 5MP Depth Camera of F/2.2 Which Allows You to Capture Good Portrait Shots.

5MP Macro camera:

A51 5G has A 2MP macro Camera of F/2.4 Which Allows You to Capture Macro Shots From a Distance of 4 Cm. The Quality Of the Image is Pretty Good.

You can record 4k@ 30 / 60fps .the video footage has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. In terms of Stabilization, A51 5G Video Footage Has remained UnShakey good at 4k @60fps.

in 1080P@ 30 / 60fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. Coming To the Stabilization, it is good at 4k @60fps And 1080p FHD recording Due to Electronic Image Stabilization.

Front Camera

the 32MP Front camera, its good & picture quality is fine. HDR is good too. it can shoot the video at 4K @ 30fps

Photos are good and well detailed. At night conditions the photos look good with good details. video quality is good in daylight and night time. it can record up to 720 & 1080P @ 30, 60FPS.

Cons

  • fingerprint recognition is Very Slow
  • No telephoto camera in Quad Camera Setup
  • No 60fps video recording Option in Video Mode
