Redmi Note 9 Review

Xiaomi launched a Midrange smartphone Named Redmi Note 9 in Redmi Note 9 Series. This  Redmi Note 9 was released in India on July 20, 2020. Redmi Note 9 is priced at INR 11,999 @ 4GB + 64 GB Variant, 13,499 @ 4GB + 128GB & 14,999 @ 6GB + 128GB Variant.

when I’m using Redmi I got a perfect Midrange Smartphone feeling when holding in the hand with a Quad Camera Setup on rear and single-camera set up on the front & MediaTek Helio G85 Chip at a Un Believable Price makes this Smartphone a true Performance & Camera beast.

6.53” Full HD+ AMOLED Screen :

Here in Display Department, Redmi Note 9  Features an Excellent Full HD IPS LCD panel Notchless Edge screen. the colors are vibrant and enjoyable, viewing angles are also Excellent. There are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight.

Single Speaker and Headphone Jack:

In Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi Used the traditional Single Speaker System and it is Much louder. This Single Speaker is Quite Loud and can’t Wrap up with the Stereo Speakers. these speaker output is clear and sound the Sound does not Distort at higher Volume.

Coming to 3.5mm jack and earphones, the 3.5mm Jack provided with an Optimized and clear sound. the headphones are not present in the Box Due to Competitive pricing. but with some good pair headphones for listening to music and for taking voice calls clearly.

Build Quality : 

Redmi Note 9 is Build with a Plastic Frame on the side on Back & Front of the Device Is Protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. it provides a good look and feels Because it is made with Plastic and Glass. There are no issues of creakiness with the build quality. Redmi Note 9 well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.53″ IPS LCD screen. The Redmi Note 9 Very thin and it is About 8.75 mm.

Rear Fingerprint scanner: 

Note 9 Features an Rear mounted fingerprint sensor which is present on the Side of the phone. By performance, it is fast and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. 

Face unlocking:

Note 9 has a face unlock feature. It works Nice in Normal Conditions Very Quickly and And Securely but in Night Conditions it will work 40% Screen brightness to recognize the user. 

Weight balance: 

Redmi Note 9 feels A bit Heavy with a 6.53″ Screen and 5020 mAh battery equipped. The weight balance is done well on the device though it is Made Up of Plastic Frame and Glass On Front and Back of the Device.

Battery life:

My Redmi Note 9 lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I’m getting 6 hours of sot with 1 day of usage & 1.5 days with medium usage. The 22.5W charging makes a difference and charges the phone in 79min which is a bit good.

MiUi 11 Based On Android 10 :

Here the Redmi Note 9 comes with the MiUi 11 Based on Android 10. We can see Dual apps and other features in this UI Android 10. We can Also see the unnecessary apps that are wasting Ram on the phone Better To UnInstall Them. By having Colour OS we can not Expect 2 years of Android Version Upgrades and 3 years of security updates on Redmi Note 9 Which is Bad Thing.


My Redmi Note 9 managed to do day to day tasks very well. There are no issues and problems with the UI. There are no heating issues with Note 9. It Feels a bit warm In Outdoor Conditions While Recording 4K Videos and Gaming, But From Inside it will be cool Due to Cooling System. You can see CPU Throttling While Gaming.

Ram Management : 

Ram Management is done very well on this Poco M2 Pro device. it features 4 / 6 GB ram variants and I did not notice any lags with the 6GB Ram device and there is no reloading of apps on this Note 9. The multitasking experience is good.

Coming to Gaming, we played Asphalt 9 & PUBG at the highest graphics setting without lags & frame drops in the game. this MediaTek Helio G85 Processor is very suitable for heavy gaming.


in Redmi Note 9, Out of 64GB, 128GB Storage, we get 50GB, 114GB GB With Google Account Included.

Call Quality :

The Call quality on Redmi Note 9 is outstanding and there are no issues with cellular call quality. We have taken long calls in a day, and the other party doesn’t complain about call quality. The earpiece is present in Top Bezel Which Acts as a Stereo Speaker Too. In Note 9 the Calls are very clear through the Loudspeaker.

Rear Camera: 

Coming to the Camera Department, Poco M2 Pro features a Quad Camera setup on the back of the device and a Single Punch Hole camera on the front of the device. They work perfectly in Poco M2 Pro. let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

48MP Primary Camera:

the 48MP main Camera With PDAF is Awesome and features a Fixed Aperture of F/1.79. The daylight pictures are Good and contain good details. Exposure is in control with an good Dynamic range to take good pictures in Daylight or Good lighting conditions. In low light conditions, the images are average. With Night Mode it just Improves a Bit.

8MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera:

the 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens on Note 9 does an Awesome job in good lighting conditions and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.2. it captures a much wider picture in a 108˚ field of view with Good details. exposure also control with a good dynamic range. In low lighting conditions, the pictures from the 8MP camera have a lot of noise in pictures.

2MP Depth Camera:

Redmi Note 9 has A 2MP Depth Camera of F/2.4 Which Allows You to Capture Good Portrait Shots.

2MP Macro camera:

The 2MP Macro Camera Works and the Quality in daylight conditions is good, in night conditions image quality is horrible.

You can record 1080p @ 30fps. the video footage has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. In terms of Stabilization, Note 9 Video Footage Has remained UnShakey good at 1080p @ 30fps due to EIS ( Electronic Image Stabilization )

Selfie camera :

Redmi Note 9 has a 13MP Punch Hole selfie camera with a large 1/3″ Sensor size and 80˚ field of view. it has a fixed aperture of F/2.3 the Picture quality is good and captures pictures in a Wide view in good lighting conditions.

This single camera can be used to take portraits images from the front with the Help of Artificial Intelligence.

in 1080P@ 30fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. Coming To the Stabilization, it is good at 1080P@30fps And 1080p FHD recording Due to Electronic Image Stabilization.
