Razer phone 2

Here in Display Department Razer Phone 2 Features an Excellent FHD+ IPS LCD screen with 513 pixels per inch, the colours are rich and awesome, viewing angles are perfect. there are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight. But the screen is a bit small when compared to other flagship mobiles.

Stereo Speakers and Headphone Jack:

In S10e Razer Used Stereo Speakers which were is very loud when compared to last year’s Razer phone. these speakers are supported by Dolby Atmos Surround Sound technology (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus) which help to get clear sound output from the mobile speaker. here earpiece Also Acts as Speaker which gives a loud sound to get the stereo speakers to feel

Coming to USB-C port and separate razer branded headphones, the USB_C was equipped with a slight encoder which provides a little punchy and clear sound with Dolby Atmos support. the Razer headphones provide a good listing experience during gaming or taking music sessions. but you have to buy them separately. these are not included in the box.

Build Quality :

Razer Phone 2 is also Build with an aluminium frame on side and front and back of the device is protected with Corning Gorilla glass 5 like Razer Phone. Because of Glass on the back, it is slippery to hold. No issues of creakiness with build quality. well built and the bezels are more like a 16:9 Aspect ratio.

Side fingerprint scanner:

Razer phone 2

S10e Features a side mounted fingerprint sensor which is included in the power button. By looks, it is Small to see but, fast and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. This placement of this sensor is exactly on the Power Button of the phone.

Weight balance:

Razer Phone 2 feels very big and a bit Heavy with 5.72″ Screen and 4000 mAh battery equipped. we cannot Use the Razer phone 2 by one hand. The weight balance is not done well on the device.

Battery life:

My Razer Phone 2 lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I had 15% of charge left in the phone which is good for a 4000 mAH Battery The ideal drain of Razer Phone 2 is very low as other flagship mobiles. the Quick charging 4.0 makes a difference and charges the phone in 90 min which is good.

Android Operating System :

Razer phone 2 runs on stock Android operating system with Built-in Nova launcher. there is no Bloatware on the phone which is nice to see. it does not have some extra features like Dual Apps, Always on Display.

Performance:

My Razer Phone managed to do day to day tasks very well like the predecessor Razer Phone. there are No issues and problems with the UI and there are no heating issues with Razer Phone.

Ram Management :

Ram Management is done very well on this Razer phone 2 device. it features 8 GB ram and I did not notice any lags with the device and there are no reloading of apps on this Razer Phone 2. Multitasking experience is nice on Razer Phone 2.

Coming to Gaming, we played Asphalt 9 & PUBG at highest graphics setting without any lags & frame drops in the game. thanks to the processor for giving us a lag-free gaming experience & liquid cooling pipe for dissipating heat from the processor. but the screen size is small, so you can feel some uncomfortable while playing PubG. after a week of usage, you won’t notice that.

It also has a Game optimisation feature which optimises games for Razer Phone. Here cortex app help in this. To find new games, open the Cortex app press the featured icon on the screen. From this, you can navigate to download supported games which are available on the Google Play store. if you have games already open the cortex app and tap on the game booster option and choose the power mode and enjoy lag-free smooth gaming on Razer Phone 2

120Hz refresh rate Display of razer Phone 2 is incredible. You can also adjust the Refresh rate according to you like ( 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz). by this, you can enjoy butter smooth Gaming Experience on razer phone 2

Call Quality :

the Call quality on Razer Phone 2 is very good and there are no issues with cellular call quality. we have taken long calls in a day and the other party doesn’t complain. the earpiece is included in the top bezel & its very loud.

Camera:

Coming to the Camera Department, Razer Phone 2 features a Dual Camera setup on the back of the device and a single camera on the front of the device. they work perfectly in Razer Phone 2. let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

Razer phone 2

1. Main Camera: the 12MP main Camera is Awesome and features an Optical Image Stabilization which is present on Razer phone. the Low light & daylight pictures are average and Some details are missing even in daylight. the colours are slightly washed out in daylight no actual colours are present in the photo. in low light, the camera performance is below average with no sharpness and dull colours. the Noise is more in Night conditions. I think Razer did not t implement noise Reduction Algorithm In their Razer phones

2. Depth Camera:

The telephoto lens on Razer Phone 2 also worsts in terms of working. by having a dedicated camera for Telephoto, it cannot zoom up to too much, and portrait images look very artificial

Video recording can be done up to 4k UHD (3840×2160) .the video footage is also useless. No accurate colours and no sharpness present in the Video footage Stabilization is a bit fine in 4kUHD And 1080p FHD recording.

Selfie camera :

smartcapture

Razer Phone 2 features an 8MP selfie camera 78˚ field of view. It has a fixed aperture of F/2.0. The Picture quality is average and captures pictures in standard view. Photos do not contain details and dynamic range.

This single camera can be used to take portraits images from the front with the Help of Artifical Intelligence which looks like artificial. W

 Customizable Razer Logo On Back

It can be used a notification light when they turned back and kept. For changing colour, you have to go to settings, and from there you have to go to chroma and change the colour as you want. You can also adjust the colour brightness right from the screen by rotating the colour wheel or Entering the Hex Code.  Customize the Home Screen with Theme Store

To change the Themes on the Home screen, you have to go to Razer Theme store. This theme store allows you to customise your Razer Phone. There are many game wallpapers on the screen like PUBG, Ball, ARK. You can select one of the wallpapers and Download it. One the Wallpaper is downloaded you can Set the wallpaper by pressing the apply button.

To Change the Display Refresh Rate on Razer Phone 2

You can change the display refresh rate on Razer phone, to enjoy Buttersmooth Gaming on the smartphone. To improve you have to go to settings and then you have to tap on the display to enter then you will see an option named Refresh rate. On tap to change the refresh rate between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz. You have chosen 120Hz for butter smooth gaming and 90Hz for Daily Smartphone usages. When your battery is low you goto can 60Hz Option because of Display Refresh Rate Consumes Battery life.

CONS

Razer has to improve camera Quality by fixing through an update.

Design looks too old. it does not look like mordern smartphone

Razer have to add Face unlock in their User interface for easy ulocking.

they have to provide fingerprint gestures to acess the screen and camera

VERDICT
