Poco (Xiaomi) launched a Midrange smartphone Named Poco M2 . This  Poco M2 was released in India on September 12. Poco M2 is priced at M2 6GB + 64GB at ₹10,999

Poco M2 Sports Mediatek Chip named Helio G80. this chip is made of 8nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFet process. this processor is divided into 2 parts; the first part features 2 x A75 High power cores which are clocked at 2.0GHz, The second part features 6 x A55 high powered cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz. it has Mali-G52 MC2 GPU which allows to do High Intensive Tasks.

Here in Display Department, Poco M2 Features an Excellent Full HD+ IPS LCD panel. the colors are vibrant and enjoyable, viewing angles are also Excellent. There are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight.

Single Speaker and Headphone Jack:

In Poco M2, Poco Used the traditional Single Speaker System and it is Much louder. This Single Speaker is Quite Loud and can’t Wrap up with the Stereo Speakers. these speaker output is clear and sound the Sound does not Distort at higher Volume.

Coming to 3.5mm jack and earphones, the 3.5mm Jack provided with an Optimized and clear sound. the headphones are not present in the Box Due to Competitive pricing. but with some good pair headphones for listening to music and for taking voice calls clearly.

Build Quality : 

Poco M2 is Build with a Plastic Frame on the side on Back & Front of the Device Is Protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. it provides a good look and feels Because it is made with Plastic and Glass. There are no issues of creakiness with the build quality. Poco M2 Pro well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.67″ IPS LCD screen. The Poco M2 Pro Very thin and it is About 8.9 mm.

Rear Fingerprint scanner: 

Poco M2 Features an Rear mounted fingerprint sensor which is present on the Rear side of the phone. By performance, it is fast and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. 

Face unlocking:

Poco M2 has a face unlock feature. It works Nice in Normal Conditions Very Quickly and And Securely but in Night Conditions it will work 40% Screen brightness to recognize the user. 

Weight balance: 

Poco M2 feels A bit Heavy with a 6.53″ Screen and 5000 mAh battery equipped. The weight balance is done well on the device though it is Made Up of Plastic Frame and Glass On Front and plastic on the Back of the Device.

Battery life:

My Poco M2 lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I’m getting 6.5 hours of sot with 1 day of usage & 1.5 days with medium usage. The 18W charging makes a difference and charges the phone in 90min which is a bit good.

MiUi 11 Based On Android 10 :

Here the Poco M2 comes with the MiUi 11 Based on Android 10. We can see Dual apps and other features in this UI Android 10. We can Also see the unnecessary apps that are wasting Ram on the phone Better To UnInstall Them. By having MiUi we can not Expect 2 years of Android Version Upgrades and 3 years of security updates on Poco M2 Which is Bad Thing.

Performance: 

My Poco M2 managed to do day to day tasks very well. There are no issues and problems with the UI. There are no heating issues with Poco M2. It Feels a bit warm In Outdoor Conditions While Recording 4K Videos and Gaming, But From Inside it will be cool Due to Cooling System. You can see CPU Throttling While Gaming.

Ram Management : 

Ram Management is done very well on this Poco M2 device. it features 6 GB ram variants and I did not notice any lags with the 6GB Ram device and there is no reloading of apps on this Poco M2. The multitasking experience is good.

Coming to Gaming, we played Asphalt 9 & PUBG at the highest graphics setting without lags & frame drops in the game. this Snapdragon 720G Processor is very suitable for heavy gaming.

Storage:

in Poco M2, Out of 128GB Storage, we get 114GB With Google Account Included.

Call Quality :

The Call quality on Poco M2 is outstanding and there are no issues with cellular call quality. We have taken long calls in a day, and the other party doesn’t complain about call quality. The earpiece is present in Top Bezel Which Acts as a Stereo Speaker Too. In Poco M2 the Calls are very clear through the Loudspeaker.

Rear Camera: 

Coming to the Camera Department, Poco M2 features a Quad Camera setup on the back of the device and a Single Punch Hole camera on the front of the device. They work perfectly in Poco M2. let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

13MP Primary Camera:

the 13MP main Camera With PDAF is Awesome and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.2. The daylight pictures are good and contain a bit better details Which are near to natural photos. Exposure is in control with an good Dynamic range to take better pictures in Daylight or Good lighting conditions. In low light conditions, the images are average. With Night Mode it just Improves a Bit.

8MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera:

the 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens on Poco M2 does an Awesome job in good lighting conditions and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.4. it captures a much wider picture in a 108˚ field of view with Good details. exposure also control with a good dynamic range. In low lighting conditions, the pictures from the 8MP camera have a lot of noise in pictures.

Depth Camera: Poco M2 has A 2MP Depth Camera of F/2.4 Which Allows You to Capture Good Portrait Shots.

5MP Macro camera:

The 5MP Macro Camera Works and the Quality in daylight conditions is good, in night conditions image quality is horrible.

in [email protected] 30 / 60fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range.

Selfie camera :

Poco M2 has a 8MP Punch Hole selfie camera with a large 1/3″ Sensor size and 80˚ field of view. it has a fixed aperture of F/2.0 they c Picture quality is good and captures pictures in a Wide view in good lighting conditions.

This single camera can be used to take portraits images from the front with the Help of Artificial Intelligence.

in [email protected] 30fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. Coming To the Stabilization, it is good at [email protected] And 1080p FHD recording Due to Electronic Image Stabilization.

  • HDR in the Screen is not Correct, needs a lot of improvement
  • Night Mode is Not Implemented Properly
