Motorola One Fusion+ Review

Motorola launched Midrange smartphone named One Fusion+.  One Fusion+ was released Globally on June 11, In India On June 19. One Fusion+ is priced at INR 16,999 @ 6GB + 128GB after the Price was Hiked To INR 17,499.

Motorola One Fusion+ features the Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm named SD 730G. this chip is made of 10nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFet process. this processor is divided into 2 parts; the first part features 2 x A76 High power cores which are clocked at 2.22GHz, The second part features 6x A55 high powered cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz. it has Adreno 618 GPU which increases its work by 27% compared to SD 712 the last Flagship processor from Qualcomm. it has an X15 LTE Modem which has Download and Uploads speeds of 800 & 150MBPS. Coming to the AI Department it does not have Ai built in the processor, it has AI Optimizations which helps in AI Capabilities.

I will divide the review into pros & cons. Let’s see quick specs of Motorola Fusion+ and Jump into the review.

6.57” Full HD+ IPS LCD Screen :

Here in Display Department, Fusion+ Features an Excellent Full HD IPS LCD panel Notchless Edge screen. the colours are vibrant and enjoyable, viewing angles are also Excellent. There are No issues & problems with screen quality. It is very bright to see in direct sunlight. there is also Support to View HDR 10+.

 Stereo Speaker and Headphone Jack:

In Fusion+, Motorola used the traditional Single Speaker System and it is much louder. These speakers are tuned by Waves Sound technology which helps to get clear sound output from the mobile speaker.

Coming to Headphone jack and earphones, The Output from the Headphone Jack is Very Good. The headphones are not present in the Box Due to Competitive pricing. But with some good pair headphones for listening to music and for taking voice calls clearly.

Build Quality: 

Fusion+ is Build with a Polycarbonate Frame on the side on Back & Front of the Device Is Protected With Glass. it provides a good look and feels Because it is made with Aluminum and Glass. There are no issues of creakiness with the build quality. Fusion+ well built and the bezels are shrunk down to place a 6.57″ IPS LCD screen. The Fusion+ Very thin and it is About 9.6 mm. Motorola Has Built This Smartphone with Splash Resistance Proofing Which is good.

Rear Mounted Fingerprint scanner: 

Fusion+ Features an Rear mounted Optical fingerprint sensor which is present on the Bottom Front of the phone. By performance, it is fast and very accurate to recognize the fingerprint of the user. 

Face unlocking:

Fusion+ has a face unlock feature. It works Nice in Normal Conditions Very Quickly and Securely but in Night Conditions it will work 50% Screen brightness to recognize the user. 

Weight balance: 

Fusion+ feels A bit heavy with a 6.57″ Screen and 5000 mAh battery equipped. The weight balance is done well on the device though.

Battery life:

My Fusion+ lasted a Full Working day with heavy usage and at the end of the day, I had 21% of charge left in the phone which is good for a 4500 mAH Battery. We got a 5.1 to 5.5 Hours of Sot ( Screen on time) on using Mobile data which is good. you will get above 5.7 hr Battery life if you use Continuously on WiFi. The ideal drain of Fusion+ is very low. The 15W charging makes a difference and charges the phone in 157min which is a Bad For a Midrange Smartphone in 2020.

Android 10 :

Here the Fusion+ comes with the Android 10. We cannot see Dual apps and other features in this UI of Android 10. The Ui is Very Clean without Un-necessary Apps.

In this UI Motorola Has Included their Moto Actions Which is Very Useful for the Users.

By having Stock Android we can Expect 2 years of Android Version Upgrades and 3 years of security updates on Edge Which is Good Thing.

Performance:

My Fusion+ managed to do day to day tasks very well. There are no issues and problems with the UI. There are no heating issues with Fusion+. It Feels a bit warm In Outdoor Conditions While Recording 4K Videos and Gaming.

Ram Management : 

Ram Management is done very well on this Fusion+ device. it features 6 GB ram variant and I did not notice any lags with the 6GB Ram Variant and there is no reloading of apps on this Fusion+. The multitasking experience is good.

Coming to Gaming, we played Asphalt 9 & PUBG at the highest graphics setting without lags & frame drops in the game. this Snapdragon 730G Processor is very suitable for heavy gaming. Fusion+ has UFS 2.1 Storage System.

Storage:

in Fusion+, Out of 128 GB Storage, we get 110 GB With Google Account Included.

Call Quality:

The Call quality on Fusion+ is outstanding and there are no issues with cellular call quality. We have taken long calls in a day, and the other party doesn’t complain about call quality. The earpiece is present in Top Bezel Which Acts as a Stereo Speaker Too. In Fusion+ the Calls are very clear through the Loudspeaker.

Rear Camera: 

Coming to the Camera Department, Fusion+ features a Quad Camera setup on the back of the device and a Single camera on the front of the device. They work perfectly in Motorola Fusion+. Let’s divide the cameras and look at the performance of them

64 MP Primary Camera:

The 64 MP main Camera with PDAF is Awesome and features a Fixed Aperture of F/1.8. The daylight pictures are excellent and contain good details which are near to natural photos. Exposure is in control with an Good Dynamic range to take good pictures in Daylight or Good lighting conditions. In low light conditions, the images are Very clear and sharp enough without noise and the exposure is good. Low Light Mode also Available to take Good Pictures in Low Light. There are Some Lags in the Camera Department Which Irritates the user.

Ultra Wide Angle Camera:

the 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens on Edge does an Awesome job in good lighting conditions and features a Fixed Aperture of F/2.2. it captures a much wider picture in a 108˚ field of view with Good details. Exposure also control with a good dynamic range. In low lighting conditions, the pictures from the 8MP camera have Mu of noise in pictures. No Low Light mode Available.

2MP Depth Camera:

One Fusion+ has A 2MP Depth Camera of F/2.4 Which Allows You to Capture Good Portrait Shots, But it Cannot detect Sometimes

5MP Macro camera:

The 5MP Macro Camera Works and the Quality in daylight conditions is good, in night conditions image quality is horrible.

Video recording can Be Done upto 4k @ 30fps .the video footage has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. In terms of Stabilization, Fusion+ Video Footage Has remained Unshaken good at 4k @30fps.

in 1080P@ 30 / 60fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. Coming To the Stabilization, it is good at 1080P@ 30 / 60fps recording Due to Electronic Image Stabilization.

You can record 1080P @ 30fps With The Telephoto Camera .the video footage has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. In terms of Stabilization, Edge Video Footage Has remained Unshaken good at 1080P @ 30fps.

Selfie camera:

Fusion+ has a 16 MP selfie camera with a large 1/3″ Sensor size and 80˚ field of view. it has a fixed aperture of F/2.0 the Picture quality is good and captures pictures in a Wide view in good lighting conditions.

This single camera can be used to take portraits images from the front with the Help of Artificial Intelligence.

in 1080P@ 30fps, the video has Good Colors with good sharpness and with a bit of decent dynamic range. Coming To the Stabilization, it is good at 1080P @ 30fps recording Due to Electronic Image Stabilization.
